The Power of 'No'

A thought suddenly struck me.

Perhaps the true self in us, the one that's not bound by the rules of the society and laws of the nation, disappeared by the age of 3.

These are what my kids say everyday

"nose, nose (pointing to the nose)"= need to clean the nose because there's mucus
"I want to shh shh/ shh shh" = need to pass urine
"en en"= need to pass motion
"t-her, you seeeeee!!"= toys got snatched
"errnnnnn!!! (+ crying)" = toys got snatched / got smacked by a friend
"some more/ I want some more" = more servings of food
"don't want/ I don't want" = anything that they don't want to do
"open, sha-t the-m" = sing the rhyme 'open, shut them'

& the rest are still not ready to verbalize their needs.

True Self & Self Love

New Tomorrow.

A little token for my good friends XD
& We are now graduates! :D

桜の栞

I don't know about AKB48 but I really like this song. This song is appropriate... on a day like this :)

English Translation

The soft breezes of spring
Blow from somewhere,
Changing the colors
Of this path we often traveled.
This is the season
When both joy and sorrow pass by,
As we begin to walk
On a new road.

The cherry blossom
Is the bookmark of our farewell.
Our friends’ faces as they wave
Rise in our minds.
The cherry blossom
Is a bookmark of tears,
So that we never forget
This important moment.

If we look up at the sky,
Its greatness,
Reaching into infinity,
We realize the length of our road.
Whether it’s fair weather or rain,
Tomorrow will come,
So with a smile,
We take the first step forward.

The cherry blossom
Is a bookmark of our future,
So that we remember
That dream we once saw.
The cherry blossom
Is a bookmark of hope.
Rather than just giving up,
We can open to this page and see it.

The cherry blossom
Is a bookmark of our heart.
Our shining youth,
The radiance of sunlight through trees.
The cherry blossom
Is a bookmark of that day,
So that we don’t forget
When everyone’s dreams
Burst into full bloom.

Hallasan Observatory, Jeju ( May, 2011)

I need to go for a long walk. To get away from the world.

Facts are the enemy of Truth

"Facts are the enemy of truth" - Don Quixote

I have always been wondering what this means... for at least half a year, I think...

Hmmm... let's not say about what Don Quixote thinks... using my tiny brain I think I have figured it out... a little...

"Facts are illusion. It obstruct truth. Facts obstruct human from finding the truth. So facts are the enemy of truth."

Blue Periwinkle & Magnolia

I like the shades of color on the petals of the flower. I like painting them and see how these shades can be formed using my brush and paint. I like how they can be given away during special occasions & they still bloom beautifully, no matter how many years have passed :)

What happens to the Facebook account when a person dies?

What happens to the Facebook account when a person dies?

This question suddenly pops up into my head today. I went to google the question, and I realized that I'm not the only one who's curious about it :D

Let's say that the account won't be deleted and Facebook social networking website stays popular for many many decades or centuries or even longer... imagine... it will be kind of amazing to know how your own ancestors look like, what they did, what they thought and said when they were still alive, who are their friends and families, and the list goes on.

Oh!! This is so interesting!! XD

Ok. I found the answer to my question:
"When a user passes away, we memorialize their account to protect their privacy. Memorializing an account removes certain sensitive information (e.g., status updates and contact information) and sets privacy so that only confirmed friends can see the profile or locate it in search. The Wall remains so that friends and family can leave posts in remembrance. Memorializing an account also prevents all login access to it."

Ripley's Believe it or not, Jeju (May, 2011)

Made with toothpicks:

The hand & shoes of the tallest man in the world V.S. the hand & shoes of the tallest woman in our class :D

The man with the longest nose!

This is funny coz' this man in the photo below, didn't know I was taking his photo! We were separated by a glass & at his side, there's a video that explains about tongue rolling which is below a 'mirror(which we can see through from our side)' XD

The smallest man in the world was kept in a cage?

Number 1 to 10 in 7 languages

This is what happens when people who know more than one language come together :)

Friday, June 10, 2011

I don't know what title I should give for this post... coz' it's kinda silly.

I realized something today. Courage is needed to do bad things. Courage to rebel & stand against the whole world. I don't have such courage :) Then again, when did moral & justice come about (if we don't think about religious teaching)? Was it when human come together & form their first village? Probably. They need some form of order to manage a village, or maybe... even earlier. Then when and what was the first bad thing human did? Maybe before the first village was formed?... like killing of their own kinds for survival? After all, Maslow's hierarchy of needs did state that survival comes before moral.

Teddy Bear Museum @ Jeju (May, 2011)

TEDDY BEARS! MY LOVE! :D

This is a little creepy coz' it's human size. My idea of teddy bear is: Small :)

& I love old teddy bears, broken legs/arms & holes :D It seems like they have witnessed major events in the world & put to good use in comforting the lonely souls :)
Teddy Bears in disguise :D
Korean Teddy bears getting married:
Princess Hours :D
Not to forget Alfred! He looks so lonely :(Yes, Save the planet :D
Bears can be found outdoor too! I wonder if the bears do fishing during winter?
Oh, & we caught a bear peeing!!! Shame on you! XD

Night @ Jeju (May, 2011)

I miss Korea :( the food, the weather, the people, the greenery ...
Anyway, here's the stuff we did in Jeju at night :D
Not to be missed, the black pig meat:

Oh, & we happened to meet a guy from China (studying in Jeju) who's working part-time at the place we had dinner. Maybe it's coz' we can speak the same language, he took care of us a lot during the meal :D
After dinner, we walked to the bridge that lights up at night :D So pretty!!
Not to forget, Edwina's birthday celebration :D The decorations in the room flew from Singapore to Incheon, from Incheon to Jeju :D What an expensive decoration we had!
& Cheongha!!! My favorite (second to rice wine)!
Night view from the rooftop of the hostel we stayed. So pretty~~~
